Tiffany's Tip of the Month
When it comes to making decisions, most of us weigh
the pros and cons. Using this method may cause us
to overlook important facts, limit our creativity, or ignore
our feelings.
We can make better decisions by throughly thinking through an issue. Edward De Bono, author of "Six Thinking Hats," advocates six different thinking styles represented by different colors of hats. 1) Identify the facts (white hat). 2) Listen to your gut (red hat). 3) Consider the risks (black hat). 4) Imagine the benefits (yellow hat). 5) Explore alternatives (green hat). 6) Conduct the thinking of all 6 hats (blue hat). Before making your next decision, wear each hat. It may help you make a better choice. For more information on decision making, contact us for a workshop on this topic. Happy Easter! |

South Suburban Parks and Recreation Wear Many Hats
When
we asked participants at
South Suburban Parks and Rec what they liked best
about
our Critical Thinking and Decision Making
workshop
they said:
"Realizing so many avenues to reaching a conclusion." "I like the rule of putting on the different hats to change your perspective." "Great class for the short amount of time we had. I feel you presented skills I can apply to current and future projects. Thank you!"
