What Problem are you trying to Solve?

Are you struggling with solving a problem? If your solutions aren't working, it may be that you haven't identified the root cause of the problem. An easy way to get at the core of an issue, is to ask "Why" five times. To use the technique, ask a question; once you get a response, ask "why". Continue to ask "why" five times for each response to drive at the real reason for the situation.

Example of the "The Five Whys" technique:
"Why is the company struggling?"
Because we aren't meeting revenue projections.
"Why?"
Because sales are low.
"Why?"
Because customers aren't buying as much as they used to.
"Why?"
Because we have new competitors in the marketplace.
"Why?"
Because they can provide the same quality for less.
Now, we're closer to the real problem. Then, the question becomes "How do competitors do that?" Once we know the answer, we can create a solution to the problem of losing market share to competitors because they can provide the same quality for less money.
You may use this technique for personal issues as well. Remember, treat the cause not the symptoms.

New membership organization for entrepreneurs

Only 1 in 10 entrepreneurial businesses succeed! That's a 90% failure rate! What are the factors that determine whether an entrepreneurial business will be a success or failure? How many times have you heard an entrepreneur say, "If I would have known all that was required to be a business owner before I started my business, I never would have started my business!"

Most businesses fail because the business owner doesn't know all that is involved before they start their business and by the time they do, it is too late! This is why the Entrepreneur Business Owner Society (EBOS) was formed. If you're interested in learning more, please call 303-231-1055.
